Summer time is near... it's getting rather hot... and I'm looking for a new housemate for the upcoming school year and/or beyond -- starting August 2011!
THE PLACE: I own a 3-bedroom/2-bath house in downtown Raleigh in the Historic Mordecai section (near the Krispy Kreme and Peace College, if that helps). The neighborhood is within easy walking distance of cute little shops and restaurants. I am renting out the 3rd bedroom that has a shared bathroom. Rent is $450 a month, which includes all utilities, WiFi internet throughout the house, A/C and central heat, access to the in-house washer/dryer, cable TV connections in each bedroom and livingroom, the kitchen, the big fenced-in backyard, plenty of off-street parking, and use of the other common areas.
THE ROOM: One roomie is moving out at the end of July to buy her own place, so her room will be available the beginning of August. The room for rent, aka the 3rd bedroom, comes furnished with a chest of drawers, nightstand, and curtains – or can be emptied, your choice. It's newly renovated with calming paint colors and an accent wall, crown moulding, a window overlooking the backyard, and mirrored closet doors. I'll gladly show you pictures if you're interested.
US: My roomies and I are all female young professionals in our 20’s. There will be two of us in the fall, and you’d complete the trio. We're pretty laid back and quiet (Note: no illegal activities in the house, pets, overly-exorbitant/destructive parties or lingering-to-the-point-of-being-"stinky"-fish houseguests), but we're also social creatures who enjoy joking, having dinner-and-wine parties, going out with friends, and movie-watching while working on laptops in the living room.
YOU: Ideally, I'm looking for a female grad student or young professional who is laid-back, fun-loving, responsible, clean (neither dirty nor too OCD), slightly goofy, and--above all else--a good addition to the dynamics of the house.
