I'm currently renting a 2 bd + 2bath in West L.A. (Palms and Sawtelle). My mother has been living with me for over a year, but life is taking me to NYC in August and rather than looking for a new place, my mom would rather stay in this apt SO... I am looking to find a female roommate for my mother. As you probably have guessed, this is not a party pad. This living arrangement is best suited for a mature, yet friendly female with a stable income and a stable life. NO DRAMA FOR MY MAMMA. Grad students are welcome. I just finished a program at UCLA and by car it's a quick 15 minute drive (with horrible morning traffic) or you can catch the 6 or the 12 two blocks away on Sepulveda in front of the Coffee Bean. There is also a CVS, Trader Joes, Albertsons, Wells Fargo, dry cleaning and a Fantastic Sam two blocks away. Mar Vista park is 1/2 block away.
The room for rent is enormous + it has its' own bathroom and a walk-in closet. It has a big south facing window overlooking trees. It's very private and there's always a fresh breeze coming in. I currently have a queen bed, 2 night-stands, 2-dresser drawers and a desk/office space in this room and there is ample space left. The unit also comes with a gated parking space. There are washers and dryers in the building. The apartment already has wi-fi, direct tv and these costs, along with utilities, are already included into the monthly rent. The room could come furnished, but my furniture would have to be purchased and when you move you'd have to take it (or sell it). I have the Ikea Malm series in medium brown. Mattress is a memory foam size queen.
My mom is very clean and orderly, so if you're not and frequently like leaving dishes in the sink, messes after you cook/eat and things lying around....just stop reading this now and go else where. You are responsible for your own food and cooking. My mother is a friendly soul, so if it kills you to say hi, this won't work for you either.
She works 30 hours a week and attends religious functions during the evenings a few times a week.
*NO smoking or debauchery
*Pets are not allowed as i already have 3 birds.
******An earlier move-in date could be accommodated for the right person******
I'm looking for someone that is looking for a 9 - 10 month time commitment. This is an ABSOLUTE MUST.
